Student Council Community Relations Committee sponsors annually:

  • Red Cross Drives
  • Senior Citizens Luncheon, Dance and/or Fashion show
  • Halloween and Christmas party for Special Education at the elementary schools
  • Canned Food and Toy Drive


Allocates $1500 for Service Activities Individuals respond to requests in Daily Student Bulletin for help and become part of a group which does the following:

  • Gym at the Jewish Community Center
  • Special Olympics
  • Tutoring both in school and in the community

Community ServiceCommunity Service Volunteers

 

Existing school organizations made annual commitments:

  • SERVICE CLUB provides construction toys, reads and draws with the children at two Head Start Programs.
  • SEARCH FOR MEANING CLASS cleans up grounds of the South Park in Shelter in Hartford.
  • DECA sponsors annual Christmas party for Conard's ESL students.
  • JUNIOR CLASS BOARD sponsors annual dances with Senior Citizens
  • FALL AND SPRING SPORTS SPONSOR CLEAN-UP DAYS FOR SENIOR CITIZENS

Conard has won three governor's awards in 1978, 1981, and 1985. In addition, Conard was a national finalist in the education category for the most creative service program resulting in several more awards.
